Tonight I ran a 10k at Media City. The finish time was a bit shite, but: a. It was REALLY hot. b. It was a school night (after a work day 😳🤦🏻♀️!) c. It was REALLY hot and it was a school night. • Clearly I’m not one for making excuses! • It was a last minute entry, and I didn’t ease into it by mini-tapering, like I usually do, I just wanted to use it as a tool to give myself a bit of a nudge with my faster runs. So, a (disappointing) finish time of 46:56, but 2nd woman 😆, and first in my age category 😆 (I just find that amusing!), not too bad considering it was REALLY hot and it was a school night (did I mention that?!!) • Just serves to fuel my fire 🔥, and make me want to push on and work harder.
